What is on at the show all weekend?
Spot the dog is by far one of the kids all-time favourite trucks.
A three D body, the body was designed and built by Lindsay Houston of Kustom Designs in Woodford Qld Kids love the floppy ears and tail.
Spot is powered by a 541 Big Block Chevrolet Engine, is fuel injected, supercharged and runs on Methanol Fuel.
Spot runs a Powerglide Transmission and proudly starts up its big Chevy engine every time with a Sponsored Powermaster Starter.
Syco Sam Roll Over Truck
Rolling completely on its roof with flashing lights underneath this great 20 minute RockinRollin Extravaganza has proven to be a kids favourite Australia wide
The Outback Stockman
The show has been described as ‘orchestrated chaos’ it is a fun show with some Horsemanship , working dogs , crowd participation , its educational with a comedy spin on it . Which includes a number of animals including Horses , Ponys , Pigs , Dogs , Sheep, a mule , a goat and an over sized Bullock , that all have there place in the show
Lithgow's Living History Group
The Lithgow Living History Group is a not for profit re-enactment group who showcase the region's vast history starting with the redcoats in colonial days with their flintlock muskets and carry on right through to the 1950s with the Korean War and the last hurrah's of the famous Lithgow made .303 Lee Enfield rifles. For those who don't like the military structure and discipline they have a bush ranger or two who make a nuisance of themselves to innocent bystanders.

The Lithgow Show Lawn Mower Racing Heats
The Lithgow Show lawn mower racing! is back! We will be holing the heats on Friday night with the finals to be raced on Saturday of the show!
The Farmers Challenge
This year will see the Farmers Challenge return to the Lithgow Show. It will involve a competition between Lithgow High School, Portland Central School and LaSalle Academy competing in a range of agricultural challenges. The Farmers Challenge is designed to promote excellence in farming and showcase the involvement of youth in agriculture through a display of the skills, equipment and techniques farmers use everyday. Emphasis is placed on completing each challenge with in the fastest time, but more importantly, with the correct technique and safe work method.
The NSW Rural Fire Service Challenge
This year will also see the return of the RFS challenge. With the recent major bushfires in our area we have asked the RFS to come along and show us all how its done by competing in a number of set activities that will be scored on time, with penalties for safety breaches and missed challenges. It will be a great way to show your support for our local firefighters by cheering on your local area brigade and also a lot of fun!
What is on Saturday of the show weekend?
Lithgow Show Society's Machines Day
We are looking at displaying Classic Cars and Trucks, Veteran and Vintage Cars and Trucks, Veteran and Vintage Bikes, Sta-tionary Engines. Working Farm Machinery, Live Steam, New Cars and Trucks, Tractors Restored or part restored and any-thing that has wheels or an engine of interest.
The Lithgow Show Lawn Mower Racing Finals
We will be racing the finals of the Lithgow Show lawn mower racing competition on the Saturday of our show. A full program of times will be availible soon.
Our Machines Day will run 10.00am till 5.00pm Saturday 18th March (muster and assembly by 9am gates open 7am).
Cost Exhibitors driver, tower, rider free, Admission reduced to $5 per person, under school age free. We would request that family members of exhibitors make this donation to the society for entry. (great value for show day)
The wood chopping will return again to the 2017 Lithgow Show. With a world champion in our region we are really looking forward to the 2017 chop. This years categories will include:

Ken Greentree Memorial - 300mm Underhand Handicap
Morris Hayden - 300mm Standing Block Handicap
300mm Tree Felling Handicap
Our community is full of amazingly talented people, on the Saturday of the show we love to showcase this and this year will be no exception. Various local groups will be at the show to perform for you and provide a day of great entertainment.
